Business Operations Director

As the Business Operations Director, you will play a pivotal role in helping us grow our business. Beyond helping just Fractional CISO, you will also help society as a whole by contributing to our fast moving, passionate efforts to smartly improve and promote cybersecurity best practices.

Fractional CISO is not a typical cybersecurity consulting firm. Instead of providing just technical service, we focus on delivering the best possible cybersecurity leadership to our clients. Our typical clients are medium-sized tech firms with significant cybersecurity needs, but they’re not quite large enough yet to hire a full-time senior security leader (CISO/CSO). We fill that gap with our “fractional” CISO consulting services and help guide our clients on their cybersecurity improvement programs.

In this position, you will take over business operations from the CEO to improve internal operations, better manage finance and help make Fractional CISO an even better place to work.

Responsibilities of Role:

Finance – 35%

• Work with Accounting firm to significantly improve financial reporting including monthly/quarterly/annual reporting
• Develop process to identify detailed information in the financial reporting process allowing complete understanding of the nature of all material expenditures, expense and variance tracking.
• Work with the Fractional CISO team to establish meaningful budgets; develop processes to manage expenses needed to meet budgets and follow up on variances
• Along with the CEO, develop financial goals for Fractional CISO and for each employee and monitor success of meeting goals
• Work with CEO to monitor cash flow and assure availability of adequate cash needed to meet the company’s financial goals and responsibilities

Human Resources – 30%

• Own the recruiting process. Utilize administrative and HR personnel/consultants to ensure optimal candidate experience.
• Evaluate compensation / benefits for employees and company. Implement recommended changes as needed.
• Responsible for managing team outings / activities.

Business Operations – 25%

• Manage Administrative Assistant who will report to this role.
• General office management
• Canadian subsidiary management
• Optimize sales processes
• Responsible for contractors including privacy contractor

Legal – 10%

• Manage client agreements
• Manage partner agreements
• Manage outside attorneys

Location / In-office expectations:

The position is located at our headquarters in Newton, MA. You should plan on coming into the office three days a week. (Tuesday – Thursday) (After Omicron)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
