Rob Black, CISSP,
Founder and Managing Principal

As a Virtual CISO, he helps organizations reduce their cybersecurity risk. Rob is the inventor of three security patents. He consults, speaks, and writes on IoT and security. He has held product security and corporate security leadership positions at PTC ThingWorx, Axeda and RSA Security. Rob received his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from Washington University in St. Louis in Computer Science and System Science and Engineering. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

RJ Russell, CISSP,
vCISO Principal

As a Virtual CISO, he helps clients understand and manage their cybersecurity risk. RJ has previously worked in financial services managing the security and infrastructure of State Street’s CRD investment management SaaS platform. He also has more than 20 years of experience supporting enterprise production environments across several industries. RJ received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree from Purdue University. He also is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Carlota Sage, CISSP,
vCISO Principal

As a Virtual CISO Carlota helps organization’s build and implement cybersecurity programs. Carlota has a background in knowledge and program management, and has helped companies including Netflix, Facebook, and FireEye to build and refine their end-user help, service systems, and knowledge bases. Carlota has a masters degree in Information and Knowledge Strategy from Columbia University in New York City. She is also a board member and volunteer for the Diana Initiative, a yearly event that promotes diversity, inclusion, and equality in the cybersecurity industry.

Blane Erwin
Marketing and Operations Manager

He leads Fractional CISO’s editorial efforts, helping the team share their cybersecurity knowledge on the blog and monthly newsletter, Tales from the Click. Blane has a background in digital marketing and broadcast journalism. Before joining the Fractional CISO team, he helped run the marketing for electric vehicle retailer Current Automotive, and was a television news reporter for NCTV17. Blane has a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communication from North Central College.

Samantha Rutledge, SSCP,
Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

Samantha helps clients with cybersecurity evaluations, risk management, and policy and compliance initiatives. Samantha has a background in incident response, digital forensics and cybersecurity investigations. She has worked at Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s Global Security department and Centene Corporation’s Cybersecurity Incident Response Team (CSIRT). Samantha is a Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP). Samantha has a bachelor’s degree from Western Governor’s University in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance.

Chinmayee Paunikar, SSCP,
Senior Cybersecurity Analyst

She helps companies develop and manage their cybersecurity programs. Chinmayee has assisted multiple companies achieve their SOC 2 certification goals. She also performs vulnerability assessments and quantitative risk assessments for organizations. Chinmayee is a Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Chinmayee received a Master of Science degree in Computer Engineering from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from University of Mumbai.

Zack Fay
Cybersecurity Analyst

He has a background working for Managed Service Providers delivering technical support, log review and analysis, and IT support such as Windows. He is currently studying Information Technology at University of Massachusetts Lowell.

Isaac Obasuyi
Cybersecurity Analyst

As a cybersecurity analyst, Isaac examines and evaluates the security of clients’ infrastructure. Isaac has been honing his cyber skills for years through practice competing at capture-the-flag, cyber defense, and penetration testing events. Isaac has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a focus on cybersecurity from Columbus State University. He’s also Security+ certified.

Jordan Morris
Administrative Assistant

As administrative assistant, Jordan will help manage the day-to-day operations at Fractional CISO. Jordan is a junior at Bentley University in Waltham, MA. She’s in a four-year dual bachelor’s/master’s program pursuing a degree in finance on the certified financial planning track. Jordan is also a long-term volunteer for the American Heart Association.
