Top 5 Rob & Rob Videos of 2025!

Introduction

Another great year is in the books for the one-man short-video sketch comedy troupe Rob & Rob. But this year, thanks to AI video generation, we featured some new faces!

Let’s take a look at the top five videos:

1. CISO: The Cybersecurity Fall Guy

This year is the first year of this list where a “crazy CISO wig” video did not top the charts.

Why? A lot of CISOs found this video all too relatable!

In just 51 seconds, I cover a common CISO lifecycle at a big company.

1. Lots of excitement about the new role.
2. Organizational pushback on the plan for expense/convenience.

3. Getting blamed when the breach happens.

No matter how good your CISO is, if you do not have buy-in from the CEO, your cybersecurity program is unlikely to be successful.

2. Real cybersecurity advice… from babies??

This was the first year that commercially-available AI video generation tools became worth using.

I knew that I wanted to try and experiment with this technology, and I had an idea that I was sure to get some attention…

What does the Internet love almost as much as cat pictures? Baby videos!

So I decided to “interview some babies” and get their cybersecurity advice.

This sort of video worked really well because there was no shot continuity needed from piece to piece. AI video generation tools are NOT good at that yet.

3. When you switch to a cheap SOC 2 auditor…

SOC 2 has had a developing problem for the past couple of years: the proliferation of cheap auditors churning out low quality reports devaluing the framework.

By the start of 2025, we started to hear that companies weren’t accepting SOC 2s from certain auditors. The broader cybersecurity community became aware of this issue and started to talk about it.

That’s why this video landed – we were shining a spotlight on something that had been in the works!

If you’re pursuing SOC 2 in 2026, my biggest piece of advice is to use a reputable auditor. It will cost more. It will be worth it.

You want to stop filling out cybersecurity questionnaires, right?

4. When the cybersecurity interns are… babies?

Following the success of the first AI baby video, I decided to strike again while the iron was hot. This time, I decided to hire a new batch of cybersecurity interns.

Man, those were some SMART babies!

5. When you do your first CMMC Self Assessment…

The Department of Defense (or War, depending on who’s speaking) has finally gotten its act together on CMMC. The certification is real, it’s here, and it’s making it’s way into procurement contracts.

Something interesting about CMMC, it permits for a fair amount of self-assessment for companies with less sensitive data to protect.

“Wow, I bet that makes it easier!” you might be thinking.

Wrong!

The scoring scale runs from -203 to 110. You need 88 points to pass, but you can score a perfect 110 points and still fail if you’re missing a system security plan.

That’s easy to understand!

Honorable Mention: Security advice with the Sesame Street Count!

While this video didn’t perform super well, it’s one of our favorites for the year. It was one of the most challenging videos to put together.

We wrote the script to parody Sesame Street’s old segments with Count von Count, and used Google Veo to generate a puppet that looked kind of like him.

But as I said before, these AI tools aren’t great at shot-to-shot consistency. It was very challenging to put together a series of shots that looked correct.

The voice was also completely wrong, so I dubbed over the Count’s lines. I’m no voice actor but trust me, this was a lot closer than what the AI produced!

In the end, we had Blane edit it together like a news Interview segment.

Even if it wasn’t as popular with our audience, it was a lot of fun to put this video together.

We learned a lot about working with AI video generation here and hey, it looks like I’m interviewing the Count! That’s kinda cool!

Thanks for Watching

This year, I reached 16,000 followers on LinkedIn. These videos are the  biggest driver of new followers, and I find it gratifying and fun to share helpful cybersecurity and compliance information with the LinkedIn community.

Cybersecurity is important, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun!

If you have been watching, thank you. If not, give me a follow! More videos will come in 2026.

Happy New Year!
